analysis the Matrix scene 1
The scene of Neo's Desk and office space transition into the cellphone (change of his life)

Neo's life is depicted boring bleak and lonesome as Thomas Anderson

compared to the home or living situation of the computer hacker Neo his apartment or place is erratic and untidy. As soon as the random package appears for Thomas Anderson his life is flipped upside down and the music and sound track gives us the feeling and rush of the changes taking place in the life of Mr Anderson
  

At this point in the life of Thomas Anderson is flipped upside down as mentioned earlier this picture is also gives off the foreshadowing of the real point in The Matrix of which Morpheus (character) the real purpose of The Matrix just the look of the cubical alone seems to depict a prison like feel to it which Morpheus reveals later.In this shot Mr Anderson appears to be in a stasis type of moment again prison reference.


As for the sound track especially the iconic sound that plays just after the phone rings this iconic sound I automatically associate with the film.

To change a (insert suitable curse) that Maya can do go to the documents folder and look for the Maya folder and delete it this should force your settings to default once you re open Maya PLEASE SAVE YOUR WORK AND RE LOCATE IT, until this is complete.

firstly put into the scene a sphere then change the geometry in the subdivisions change it to 8x8 to lessen the polygons due to the fact the sphere will load in with a large amount of polys including the odd triangle which is not required also do not forget to turn the sphere to the central and

Go motion is a variant of stop motion animation which incorperates motion blurr where motion is required.

because the advances c g i had made during Jurassic park had effectively made stop motion redundant. This caused phil extreme levels of pain and uncertainty.

Summary
Stranded on a strange planet and left for dead, the life on this planet is harsh and unforgiving while barely surviving the betrayal of the Necromongers for his crown. Riddick is left broken and bleeding on this desolate scorched earth to either die slowly or fight and survive, the species living here seem to be hunting him.
Riddick hides and recovers from him wounds to find he is in way more trouble than he originally thought. Finding a man made outpost Riddick uses the emergency beacon located in the outpost to call for a ride off scorched earth.

Emotional content You need to see

This is a post to specify the exact reason why my life as a whole had been rattled and rocked

Where to begin ill start with the atomic bomb that created the fallout i spent the last week of class trying to cure myself of. Sending me into a depressive downward spiral my three year relationship had come to an end. for me THIS WAS A CATALYST, all the existing stresses i had to deal with as well as that destroyed the man i once was but thankfully after nothing but time i have used old and new material to create an all new version of myself and to be honest i think this version is why the relationship HAD to come apart in the end deep within myself she was in my way of me becoming all that i could be.

Now that i have emerged from the crater of my emotional turmoil i am whole again and ready to take on life unfortunately it costed me an entire week but i am back and stronger than ever.



To my Tutors
My apologies for all the time of yours i feel i wasted with your help i am ready to get it.
Thank you too all of the Tutors honestly without them i would have been lost to crippling depression and my friends, family
Thank you for your help at staying as close to the track as i could get seriously i will never forget it

225, 226 De-evolution/development.

At this stage folks i am looking at the possibility of extreme levels of failure for these two classes this is 100% my fault i let my humanity alter my drive and ambition shifting my focus to the collapse of my 3 year relationship and because i am a rather deep felling type guy of which i am still suffering from as i write this post however i WILL  NOT let this buckle me i have the knowledge a require and this is not where this ends for me yes my humanity tells me i should feel ashamed or like a real failure even though these sensations are totally there and are potentially crippling (because of the existing issues +) I am not ready to give up at all i have fought too long and too hard for this to crush me if i have to i will do what ever it takes to get this blasted degree even if it takes me another two years or a full repeat of the course. (clearly not all of it) i failed two papers last year (2016) and am repeating them (2018) as well as the 2nd year stuff  I do need a serious break so i can re arrange myself in the manner i need to, to become the me that i came here to become. Effectively part of me is cracking and beginning to break and fall off while the rest of me is fighting to keep me upright.

1/Meditate For up to 3 hours on the consciousness i need to acquire in order to complete my vision.
2/create walls and a mask in order to feel less until the pre-requisites have been met.
3/ Develop myself in the same way i have been taught to develop the 3D characters via Maya
4/create a plan to develop the tools in order to survive all of the steps i need to take to get to the finish line.
5/Between the steps of 1 and 2 a meta physical break or breakdown may need to be appropriated so i have resources to work with in order to do the above it has come to my attention i will need stability externally like house hold living type structure system included. 
6/ I feel the strength building and rocking as time goes by the foundations are strengthening.

UV unwrapping in the upper tool bar there will be a set of green ish tools with a checkered square this will allow you to see the unwrapping system if you hit the other checkered box within this system it will show you where your unwrapped object surfaces are. 


up the top change the modeling bar to rendering and you will find texturing 8th from the file tab open this tab and go for the create PSD network and choose the color option make sure you tick the open photoshop box while in photo shop

 

then photo shop will open automatically and bring up your UV snapshot with the  brush this will allow you to alter the texture apply your texture concept  in file place linked BAM you will be taken into source images to go from PSD save as out to a Targa file and then return to Maya in the attribute editor click on the blinn or lambert default you have chosen right click on the color bar and select the break connection and then Maya should restore it use able then click on the checkered box and select your texture.

1/ What are your thoughts on Richard Williams level of perfectionism?
Richard Williams was and probably still is very driven to perfect his craft effectively all the information I could pick up was he had a dream and a world we he wanted to share in the exact way he envisioned it but the complication was this world wasn't structured correctly in a still type medium thus leaving it open to rapid change as Richards mind kept changing and developing as Richard conceived the new ideas which was no good for the development...This is actually something i have just learned how to practice properly myself.
2/ Do you feel it was fair to have his film taken from him ... Why? Under this question there are two perspectives: #1 Warner Bros = The money if you think under the ideals of the business, image e t c Richards was warned at the very beginning if you do not finish it it will belong to us  (WBS) and we will finish it without you or your team Williams didn't deliver so WBS took over and changed it claimed it and killed it.
#2 Richard Williams  As an artist myself and a creator i feel the pain he would have gone through after losing his baby his very own Mona Lisa Smile.


3/ In your opinion, what could have been done differently during the production to ensure the film was completed on time?  Planning Mr Williams Planning,progress reports and stable structure. the amount of changes he has made for the works made things way harder for the team to keep up on the fly. everyone knows he wanted it to be perfect but time was of the essence after WBS was in the picture the person with the most gold makes the rules after all.

To create clothes duplicate the whole model and move it to either side of the model pick which you wish to start with top or bottom e t c and then use the faces interface with Hold Shift to select many and delete the portion you are not using to narrow your focus and then you can begin modeling your characters clothing.

Today it is rumored we will be making a head for our character this will be an interesting class indeed. Coming soon  

at this stage I am a wee bit behind however I WILL NOT give up.
even should I fail this will not topple me.

Reducing polys: put in a holding loop just off the wrist to be able to reduce the large amount of polys.

this can be done using these or this technique take three edges you really only need to select an edge and delete the unwanted vertices for the hand you will need to try your best to make a small diamond like shape similar to the purple gems found on the PS1 game Crash Bandicoot 2 long and narrowing at the bottom and bold ish at the top leading to a point or edge at both ends. The hand will be covered in these diamond type shapes this will be used to optimize the eventual movement and rigging that will come later.

Memo (concept art for the gluteus helpful). (Do Not put extra loops in unless you REALLY need to)

Sewing on limbs: first thumbs, extrude the closest faces out add an edge loop tools to increase the amount of faces in the model try to get the edges as close to each other as you can you will need to connect the vertices bit by bit for further accuracy in the joining of your two objects you may also have one half of your modeled body up and vanish on you this is because you have made a new object this has merely gone for a walk and will be back upon summoning. 

Mesh-combine of the use the tool icon three spaces on the upper tool bar from the extrude go right and shall see an odd looking box with a small orange box on the inside of it.
You will have to alter the thumb muscle remember to use your own limbs as reference for they are the best reference you can get and they are free.

later on you get into the basic shaping of the hand details e t c
as well as going into the wrist and doing the same with the trying to match the amount of the faces with the reference and or the body model you have previously created

now for the knuckles for good measure with the closure of your modeled hand (later)
depending on how you have done it you may need an extra loop or geometry you will need to aim  for an circular type shape where exactly you want the knuckle, Grab or highlight the all the faces with the hold shift and select the specific faces use the smaller points which should be a blue ish color also try to keep to your quad set up as best you can in  the long run this will help with your render time purely because in the ideas of computer programming all these lines,faces and vertices are all going to have letters and numbers fly through them at the speed of light in order to make this work you are going to want to reduce the time and blockages the system may go though you can also get a mini preview before rendering which at this point I cannot remember (sorry folks)

Try your best to avoid jagged or sharp bits in the model 

remember Geometry and using the curves on your own body as reference is key to a successful build.

# 225 3D Setting key frame and camera

Today there was a mini assignment due un marked i knew this was due soon but i fully forgot due to things like life and its curve balls.

however I am also going to be attending peer tutoring for Maya because i am very far behind and trying to catch up with development and construction.


Camera creation : panels perspective is the default or overall looking system you have when you load into Maya

Load in a camera (manipulable): go to the create tab at the top and smash the camera type button this will be represented by a yellow ish icon in the drop down



S on the key board sets a key frame for the camera remember to change the timer slide first and then move your asset(s) then insert the key frame with S.

To delete a key frame hold shift this will highlight inn red and right click smash delete in the drop down.


Tree content browser and paint effects remember to place adding quads.

to quick change the shape and scale of the object go to the inputs and click on the poly cube and the inputs window should arrive click and drag with the scrolling wheel or middle mouse button thing to change these attributes.





the multi cut or edge loop tool allows you to add specific lines you can use to manipulate points of interest more accurately helps with the final smoothing for more accurate moving body parts use a geo fan input with the multi cut tool adding directional and manipulate able line with they re own face space between the line 1 and 2 be sure to use concept art in the background for reference also the edge loop tool can be used to double your quads.

Alfred's intention with this scene mostly it was depicted to be a ''stab''  at the Hollywood industry and the changes in pop culture.?

What is the importance of the scene to the story? is supposed to depict the characters release from her existing guilt or relief  and then using the slasher to prove in life you may never truly escape your fate or if your religious sins

What techniques were used to convey intended meaning? Mr Hitchcock used a heap of jump cuts purposefully to jar the audience as the traumatic experience the character was going through.

Also you may need to get down and dirty with a lot of the little corners and edges because they will try to do they're usual stuff also 3 will smooth up your existing model or object remember if your model is humanoid the muscle structure is the easiest thing for you refer to while modeling if your character is not fully human then the muscle structure is up to you to decide as always
carrying on stop your extrusion at the knees purely for the use of the V fan type set up like the hip structure mentioned above and then repeat the cut or edge loop process previously mentioned (the fan will help deform the moving parts later
Volume Volume Volume try to think in the ideas of human biology and curves shapes.

for the arms you will probably need a bat wing like shape extruded from the inner face again the vertex tool will be easier manual reshaping will be required. your body is your best resource or reference

Feet use the face tool or interface to extrude the bottom face of the ankle area or place
and for the ankle extrude the faces in and pull the ankle bit out this is all just to acquire the correct volumes for your general shape as too create the volume of the muscles and other details use the edge tool to input vertex you can manipulate to create more human like volumes insert the edge loops carefully you will also need these inserts (edge loops) for the legs all these more touchy details will need the edge loop tool and fine detail concentration for the neck you will need only 1 bat wing type input and the other volume based inputs to further detail your characters shape correct e t c organic curve analysis and replication again use your body to do this EVERYTHING MUST stay in quad or squares also you can cut in the shapes you require for fine details like breasts or pecks i shall get into toes when i get there.

you can also use these techniques to kick in and out most of your lines but please do be very careful try not to and up with triangles or anything other than square or quad based shapes for easier rendering and less of a major head ache later.

The Muscle shapes are the key to creation of the asset.

further left you will find the legendary crop tool from way back this is more or less self explanatory

And further right is the straighten tool
and then of course there is the ultimate tool named the transform tool

quick mention of the next couple of tools are self explanatory kind of : spot removal tool and the red eye removal tool
and then the adjustment brush tool. K is the shortcut for this tool

 most tools will have a shortcut visible if you hover over the tool or tool tab.


In design tips

create a new page both this and photoshop are similar in the structure of the program Adobe's usual interface(s)
if you ruin your workspace  go into the window tab and go for the workspace in the drop down reset essentials bam good to go.


for the term facing pages go to file doco set up and un-tick the facing pages or of course leave it ticked and carry on with your mission


Text tool will look like a small capital T similar to what you see here.
 should you munt your text box with extra text that has gone bye there should be a little red plus bottom right corner this will allow you to place the rest of your hidden or "lost" text and it shall allow you to re-locate your overflowing text In design does seem to have a smart ish encoding to the program kind of simulating a primitive form of common sense.


also you can use the same little box when it is white to create text boxes this will allow err text bleeding i guess might be the term but don't quote me on the terms I use (sorry) anyway this means you can write in the first box and as this grows larger it will shift or spread to the other boxes you have placed, right click on the first box you have placed hopefully using the technique i have just mentioned WITH the text box tool in use click on the first box right click and click on the fill place holder text this will fill all the boxes beginning box and the others with seeming Latin maybe the bible i am not sure i never studied Latin might take it up later see if i am correct.
also you can use the rectangle tool to create a box and drag and drop an image into this place.

How to things

inserting a key frame = find a spot on your timeline and access the attribute editor tab right click the translate tab and set key.

Inserting a basic asset Windows tab found at the top of your screen-general editors-content browser select asset and the right click on your selection and hit the import option.


Selecting many faces at once= click one and then shift double click the other.


Adding color to specific faces click and hold the right mouse button go to the bottom you will find the assign material if you have imported a texture you will find the new material/favorite/existing texture

Rigging= in the top left hand corner you will have a drop down box usually having modeling in the box or rectangle change this to rigging and then your tool system will change near the windows option you will find skeleton use this tool to create a quick rig type thing WITH the object captured IN object mode then go through the rigging steps mentioned above and hit auto rig may take a tick but this will set up basic control systems to use to manipulate the object.




 inserting reference image= for a starter use the plane tool and in the width and height max them out in to the size of the grid being 24.000 by 24.000 use the E button on the keyboard to rotate the plane hold J to increment rotate and then use Ctrl D to duplicate the object and E again to rotate the other direction so the two plane sit in the middle of each other if you have a reference image on standby for use click on the surface you want that specific reference and hold the right mouse button down in the same way you add color like mentioned above however one use the Assign new material and hopefully you know where your image is.

Don't forget to name the surfaces the same or similar to the references you intend to use otherwise you will have to use the Ctrl Z and then repeat the above step.

Dogme 95 movement




Summary

Dogme 95 was a film making movement started in 1995 by the Danish directors Lars von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg, who created the "Dogme 95 Manifesto" and the "Vows of Chastity" (Danish: kyskhedsløfter). These were rules to create film making based on the traditional values of story, acting, and theme, and excluding the use of elaborate special effects or technology. It was an attempt to take back power for the director as artist, as opposed to the studio.They were later joined by fellow Danish directors Kristian Levring and Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, forming the Dogme 95 Collective or the Dogme Brethren

When it Ended in 2005

do you feel that imposed set of rules on film making would help in making a more ''pure'' film that improves the focus on story and character? the focus would then be solely on the actors or characters and the story development. the idea was to take w nice long wholesome stab at the Hollywood expectancy of ''great'' movies.

# BSA 202 Soundscape

Today we made a minor soundscape (make a picture in the mind of the audience with sound) because from time to time my darker sense of humor can grip my creativity i could have easily done a very long scape just as by playing around i would have made it way more sinister but the other sounds are broken at this stage and would have blown the listeners ears to bits.


Either way i am stoked with the little envisioning of a horrific crash caused by sudden lightening strikes i was giggling through out. however i know i still have a lot of tricks to learn as of yet here is snap shot of the scape.

Today we took a stab at 3D modeling a candle this is the candle stick or holder I had made in maya today which was a horror scene or gothic type outcome well experiments have the ups and downs of an elevator.
  
otherwise after trying to teach my brain to handle the format with G we used to repeat the previous tool at this stage it was extrude and using the outer most boxes i could uniformly scale up and down the selected face or faces after asking for a little help from Vaughn and changing the way my brain was trying to receive the information i managed to come trough with a better version of the candle.

  

a little bit better but still not the same as the picture in the back.
however i still learnt a heap in this class alone.

# Audio 1

So far we have watched a few documentaries on sound and the most famous composers of the few centuries been and gone and how the effect of a good composer or sound track can either ruin a film or animation or of course can make it the recognition it deserves.
P.S Pro Tools uses I locks or dongles for licence theft restrictions, good on ya Pro tools thumbs up.

# 206 Day 1 206 Task 1

Provide own analysis of the aspects of form in the opening sequence of back to the future and address the following.



What does the scene tell us about the narrative?
The scene depicts the Doc characters obsession with time including his deep attention to detail with the way all the clocks are in a line and set on the same system, however this also depicts his absence from his residence little bits and bobs MIA and gives us brief insight to the importance his work including the fact he may be a genius however he has failed to maintain his machines and other structures like empty the dogs bowl e t c.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3isQI0nXQRE

What does mise-en-scene inform us about the characters?
for a start the main character is depicted as a musician before we even see his face.
and the Doc character is clearly inventive and creative having a prototype robotic arm to feed his dog Eisenstein
But this also depicts the fact that something is quickly going come to the surface about time and something dangerous using the television to represent the missing plutonium which is revealed later as to why and whom
and the fact Doc is not in the room and Martin has been hanging out with the doc quite a bit knowing where the door key is and the is e t c.




How does the camera work, editing and sound support the story?
In the first about minute of shooting they used a single shot for the clocks also the clocks ensure you know this has something to do time maybe even order.
heaps of the Doc character background and littler details such as the manor burning down  e t c.


Conclusion being i have to watch this again now that i am a lot older.

i usually enjoy this class and learn many different things about the origin of motifs and demographic

# BSA 225,226,3D character Development Idea 225 + 226 Bob First look

Adventures of Bob.

Original inspiration for Bob
The name bob was sourced from the beta version of character creation interface before human became the default name. There was Bob,Jane,Joe,Anne.

The story i have created under the ideas of series or episodic Ark life or lives.


Bob character traits:
1/partly insane
2/high energy with a calming aura
3/Very strong due the extreme amount of time being on the Island alone coupled with Trait 1 and 2
4/Bobs left eye is heavily wondering and giving the impression of sentience however this appears to allow him extra sensory perception within the surrounding area.
5/ Built like a tank similar to the default character setting in the actual game
6/Slight differences to the default character
7/Will need to be darker skin due to the nature of living on an island (bronze ish ).

The story of Bob
Bob is approximately 100 kgs by 5 foot 8 inches one of the remaining survivors of the island built heavily and consisting mostly of muscle. Bob has spent much of his time alone on this island depicting the possibility of potential madness suffering in part from from many things including the lack of social interaction using primitive tools he has managed to survive all of the threats and obstacles he has faced. living in a cave he has yet to go further into due to the unforgiving nature of the island bob as of yet struggles to maintain a campfire or fire as a general goal thus he has been living on some of the local berries found near his cave.Bob is struggling to create fire this will be his main task during the development stages.

overall look i would like to achieve after my time at SIT or during if possible.



take in consideration the lighting,hue,shadows/ all three plus from object darkest being Umbra second darkest Penumbra the lightest being Antumbrambra
usually there MAY be the two penumbra on either side of the umbra.

Light can be broken down into several components starting with:
direct Light coming from the source/sources leading to the specular reflection then enter the multi directional diffuse reflection can also be picked up from other sources i shall nick name the bounce light type

Today we have had gone through the housekeeping steps and been informed about the need for time management we will need to practice as well as file cleanliness and management
 I shall refer to one of my previous posts based on bob titled 3D character Development 

Light sources have variants there is direct light which courses the specular reflection which is the reflection of the direct  and the defuse light is found on a surface that has bounced from another source or bounce surface

# Ark,Surviving the Ark (TBC)

Ok so here goes a legendary brain fart from yours truly


For a start Character list:

Bob character traits:
1/partly insane
2/high energy with a calming aura
3/Very strong due the extreme amount of time being on the Island alone coupled with Trait 1 and 2
4/Bobs left eye is heavily wondering and giving the impression of sentience however this appears to allow him extra sensory perception within the surrounding area.
5/ Built like a tank similar to the default character setting in the actual game
6/Slight differences to the default character
7/Will need to be darker skin due to the nature of living on an island (bronze ish ).


Story base =
5 consisting of 3 male 2 female youngest being 19 years of age. These survivors arrive on the shores of the Island map near each other (maybe a couple KMs apart) and eventually meet up with each other and try to survive together and figure out what  is going on here all the while they are being watched a strange and fast moving creature.

Feeling threatened they vote to stay together and move to a seemingly safer place walking and stopping as night falls. Eventually they stumble across a worn patch of  grass appearing to have been walked through at some point recently noticing the path leading into the forest they have been avoiding this whole time the group again turns to vote on whether to go and have a look to see what is at the end of this "path".
The group come to the conclusion they are beginning to starve and the nights are getting colder so they choose to investigate this path and where it may lead.

Cautiously traversing the wilderness of the forest, never leaving the path they become chased by a group of  Compsognathus following this ominous path at a high speed screaming in panic they stumble across a large and old looking building flying in the open door not thinking about the possibilities of other dangers.
They have all made it inside however not noticing fast enough there is only a single set of two torches on the wall and a long dark hallway ahead. Feeling cold they pull a single torch off the wall and light the dry leaves found on the floor and try to cuddle the small amount of fire they have acquired waiting until dawn they rest in the cold stone room of the large ruin.
resting against a wall Bella the blonde green eyed survivor mentions seriously "I am 90 percent sure that we were just chased by a large group huge of lizards?".
"If I am correct in guessing that was no normal group of lizard" Chello the short haired also blonde but brown eyed survivor mentioned cautiously the group gaze at him confused, Anetta the short haired and hazel eyed female in lying in the middle of the room "I am 100 percent sure they were Compys of the Dinosaur type lizard","My brother loved Dinosaurs" as she quietly gazes at the moss on the roof. Collin, brown short hair,brown eyed with glasses assessing the seemingly endless corridor near them mentions"Guys there is very unpleasant odor coming from this large dark hallway.""try not to lose one of those torches because we are going to need one","If we are going further through what could be a maze down there". The group move slightly closer to each other. with know windows the days and nights came and left in a flash before they knew it they are starting to starve in the dark abyss of the corridor.Chello leaps to his feet" I'm going down there", marches toward the two torches , "gimme that torch",he begins to walk toward the arch way"who's coming?" the rest of the group stand up weakly and fall in behind him walking into the dark.
The group find a door and bash on it and wiggle the door handle in hopes that it suddenly opens, Anetta stands in the back watching until she just barely notices another door a few feet from them just out of the light taking a few steps closer "Guys!","look,another door" the group splits and the females move to Anetta's door and try the same method thrashing on the door and aggravating the other door handle.The quietest of the group speaks up "Hey folks is that light on the wall down there?","I think there may be a corner as well?" Chello pats the quiet,dark long haired,brown eyed chap on the back "well done dude"Chello congratulated, "You may have found a way out of this tomb". the team rush toward the light and take a left at the corner to find another door with light coming from underneath it gasping with hope of an exit the group pile through the door not knowing it was unlocked landing on the floor and using each other to cushion the fall as they trip and plummet to the ground with a thud and "oofff" from Chello,Anetta,Collin,Bella  a mini symphony of collisions takes place as the door flings open.The quiet one strolls over the group finding the elephant sized hole in the wall of the new room they have just discovered leading outside.
The quiet guy glances over the room as dust skips all over lighting everything in a warming orange light the room making it a little harder to see all the details to be seen.The quiet one mutters to himself under his breath "So this is where the smell is coming from, and this must have happened a little while ago".
The rest of the group find they re feet and stand up slowly "Holy shit" Chello calmly mutters as he marvels at the room and the huge hole in the wall.The group spreads out. Collin pipes up "hey guys I think I found who the hole in the wall belongs to" a stun silence washes over the group as they approach Collin and analyse the situation (T Rex footprint) stained red by the person whom was crushed by the huge foot "These prints are fully massive"Chello begins to shake.
